What Happens Next
What happens next.
The first conversation is short, no obligation, and oriented entirely toward fit. We will ask about your situation, your goals, and what you are looking for in an advisor. You can ask us anything about how we work, what we charge, and whether we are the right firm for you.
We are not the right firm for everyone. If your situation calls for something we do not offer, we will tell you. If we are not the best fit, we will tell you that too, and where possible, point you toward someone who might be.
This is meant to be a useful conversation, not a sales pitch.
Within one business day.
You will hear from us by email or phone to schedule a thirty-minute introductory call.
The intro call.
We get to know each other. You tell us about your situation. We tell you about the firm. If it feels like there might be a fit, we schedule a longer conversation.
The discovery meeting.
A deeper conversation about your full financial picture, your goals, and what working together could look like. About sixty to ninety minutes, in person if you are local, by video if not.
The decision.
No pressure, no timeline. If we both think it is a fit, we move forward. If not, we part on good terms.
FAQs
Common questions.
We work best with families who have $1 million or more in investable assets and the complexity that comes with it. We will occasionally make exceptions for families approaching that threshold quickly, but it is a useful guide.
We are fee-only. Our compensation comes from our clients, never from product companies, commissions, or referral arrangements. The fee is a percentage of assets we manage for you, and it is transparent and disclosed in writing before you ever sign anything.
We are based in Roseville, California. Most of our clients are local, but we work with families across the country. Local clients we tend to see in person. Out-of-state clients we serve by video, phone, and travel when it makes sense.
Yes. We coordinate with the professionals you already trust. For families who do not have a CPA or estate attorney in place, we can recommend professionals in our network or, in the case of estate work, draft documents through our partnership with Encore Estate Planning.
The first conversation is free and there is no expectation to commit to anything. Some of our best clients took a year or more from the first call to the decision to move forward. The work we do is long-term. The decision to start it should not be rushed.
